Meet the Director
Olly Galvin is the company director and the driving force behind the business. After a long career in event stage and site management, he achieved his NEBOSH General Certificate in 2017 and has pursued a career in health and safety management since.
Olly has taken on the health and safety advisor role for hundreds of events across the UK and the Middle East, gaining a huge experience in the practical application of good standards of health and safety management in widely varying situations.
In the last two years he has bought his focus to bear on more occupational health and safety roles, taking on the Competent Advisor role for several nationally recognised companies. This change of focus has been the catalyst for the launch of Acumen Safety.
Olly currently holds an active position as an Associate Lecturer for Sheffield Hallam University alongside his festival and event safety management roles with Galvin Events. He is a Technical Member of IOSH and an Associate Member of the IIRSM as well as being an approved IOSH trainer.
